LARRY S. BASILONE, CPC

Chief Executive Officer

Larry was born and raised in Western Pennsylvania. He graduated from Mars High School, in Butler County, in 1969 and attended Western Maryland College after graduation but moved back to Western Pennsylvania and continued his studies and graduated from Slippery Rock University in 1973.

Upon graduation, Larry moved back to Maryland to assume a role teaching teachers and students in Leonardtown, Maryland. Larry also coached basketball in the St. Mary’s County Maryland educational system.

Larry returned to Pittsburgh and worked as a credit analyst for Westinghouse Credit Corporation and subsequently was promoted to a Sales Manager role with Westinghouse in their Equipment Financing Division. Ironically, Larry was “headhunted” and placed three times in his career.

In 1981 he became intrigued by the headhunting business and joined a local Pittsburgh firm specializing in Accounting, Finance and Human Resources. He worked for that firm for 9 years prior to establishing Basilone Executive Search in April of 1990 where he continues to direct and manage.

In January of 1991, Basilone Office Staffing Solutions (BOSS) was established to find talent in office support, administration, sales support and accounting for temporary and temporary to permanent needs in the market place. This business is now under the direction of Gary Basilone, Larry’s brother.

In the mid 1990’s, Frank Caligiuri and Bill Brundage were recruited to manage and direct the Pittsburgh Executive Search and Technical Search businesses respectively, branching Basilone Executive Search into the Manufacturing, Engineering, Technical Sales and IT arenas in Western Pennsylvania and the Eastern Seaboard.

For the past 18 years, Basilone Executive Search and Staffing has provided outstanding and reliable recruiting services to a vast array of industries from small privately held organization to multi national Fortune 500 corporations.
